Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience. Each person’s journey and investment in the process will look a little different!
Many clients choose to meet weekly or bi-weekly to build a solid foundation and establish a supportive working relationship. The pace of therapy is always collaborative and depends on your individual needs (goals, time, energy, and finances).
As therapy progresses and clients feel more grounded and supported, sessions often become less frequent. Some clients transition to maintenance or as-needed sessions, while others return during difficult seasons of life.
As a relationship-focused therapist, I value long-term connection and continuity of care. I hope to be a supportive presence throughout different stages of your life.

True North Therapy + Wellness is an out-of-network, private-pay practice, which means payment is collected at the time of each session and insurance is not billed directly.
For clients who wish to seek reimbursement, I am happy to provide a “superbill,” that can be submitted to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network benefits.
Please contact your insurance company directly to learn more about your out-of-network mental health benefits and potential reimbursement options.
My goal is to keep the financial process straightforward and transparent so you can focus your energy on what matters most — healing, growth, and meaningful change.
I value accessible healthcare, so if therapy is cost-prohibitive to you, let’s talk. I offer a limited number of reduced rate sessions. My goal is to support your journey and also value the work we do together.
Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, HSA/FSA cards, and major credit cards.

When I decided later in life to become a marriage and family therapist, a friend and mentor told me I had a “good dose of life seasoning.” That phrase has stayed with me, and it reflects the way I show up in the therapy room today. My approach is grounded, nonjudgmental, direct, and gently challenging. I also believe humor can be an important part of healing, and when it fits, I’m happy to bring warmth and lightness into the work we do together.

I kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any session cancellations or rescheduling requests, except in cases of emergency. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee.
This policy is intended to support clients’ commitment to their therapeutic goals, while also allowing the practice to maintain availability for clients in need of care. Late cancellations and missed sessions prevent other clients from accessing available times.
